Opportunities don’t happen, You create them.
Everyone’s dream is to start their career life from a well reputed company. But as the opportunities are rare, it is grueling. Career Skills Development Society of the university held the annual career fair and the workshop series in collaboration with the Career Guidance Unit of the university to proliferate the career opportunities .
TOUCH THE PEAK- the annual career fair and workshop series was held for the 12th consecutive time in this year with a magnificent number of undergraduates over 800 who have registered and participated actively throughout the program from 30th September to 1st October. The event was for the final year and third year under graduates who are looking for opportunities to join the corporate world.
The workshop series was held to empower the undergraduates with more and more professional skills and attitudes need to face the corporate world without any hesitation or diffidence. The workshops were held focusing CV writing, portfolio writing, interview facing and personal grooming. In addition to those workshops a HR forum and a CV clinic was held to equip the students with more professional skills.
This time 27 leading companies including MAS, LAUGHS, UNILIVER, BRANDIX, VIRTUSA, Mobitel, Dialog participated and opened their doors to our brothers and sisters. CV clinic was done with the support of the experts of the BRANDIX. There were long queues in front of the interview panels from the beginning to end. This was a great experience for the students about dealing with the professionals of the work force and to talk with them face-to-face, clearing and questioning to get a good feel on the work.
